A PAC MFI-17 Mushshak aircraft operated by the Pakistani military went down near Nawan Killi in Balochistan province, resulting in the deaths of both pilots aboard, according to military officials.

The Mushshak is a basic trainer aircraft commonly used by Pakistan's armed forces for primary flight training. The crash site was located in the sparsely populated Balochistan region, which has witnessed occasional aviation incidents in the past.

Preliminary investigations by military authorities have pointed to a technical fault as the cause of the crash. However, a full investigation into the incident is expected to follow standard procedures to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.

The Pakistani military has not released additional details about the pilots or the specific nature of the technical problem that preceded the crash. Such incidents remain relatively infrequent among Pakistan's military aviation operations, though trainer aircraft accidents do occasionally occur during routine operations.
