Pakistan penalised for slow over-rate in England Test series
The International Cricket Council has fined Pakistan 50 per cent of their match fee and deducted 11 World Test Championship points for maintaining a slow over-rate during the third Test against England at Birmingham. The penalty came after Pakistan's 0-3 series defeat.

Pakistan have been sanctioned by the ICC for bowling overs at a slower-than-required pace during the final Test of their series against England, which concluded at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The sanctions include a financial fine equivalent to 50 per cent of the team's match fee and a deduction of 11 World Test Championship points.
The ICC determined that Pakistan fell 11 overs short of the prescribed target after accounting for time allowances. This marked a significant penalty for the visiting side, already struggling after a whitewash defeat in the three-match series.
Pakistan's tour of England proved disappointing across all three Tests. The team lost the opening fixture at Leeds by an innings and 103 runs, suffered a 194-run defeat at Lord's, and fell to an 8-wicket loss at Edgbaston. The slow over-rate violation was identified during the final Test of the series.
ICC match referee Ranjan Madugalle, along with on-field umpires Paul Reiffel and Chris Gaffaney, third umpire Allahudien Palekar, and fourth umpire Russell Warren, jointly determined and imposed the penalties against Pakistan.
