Pakistan has indicated it would be prepared to issue a visa to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should he wish to attend a conference in the country, according to official statements from Islamabad. The offer reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two nations on matters of mutual interest and cultural significance.

Mann had previously articulated his desire to enable members of the Punjab Legislative Assembly to visit Kartarpur Sahib, the historic gurdwara located in Pakistan's Narowal district. The shrine holds deep religious significance for Sikhs and remains a focal point for interfaith dialogue and cross-border pilgrimages.

The chief minister's interest in facilitating such visits underscores the continued importance of people-to-people contacts between Punjab and Pakistan, particularly around shared religious and cultural heritage sites. Kartarpur Sahib, situated on the banks of the Ravi River, has been a key destination for Sikh pilgrims following the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor in 2019.

Pakistan's willingness to extend visa facilities to Mann suggests potential openness to broader engagement on cultural and legislative matters between the two regions. Such exchanges are viewed as contributing to improved bilateral relations and greater mutual understanding between communities on either side of the border.
