Co-chairing the committee is N. Manjula, secretary of the Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, ensuring alignment with central government priorities and regulatory frameworks. The dual leadership structure reflects the initiative's emphasis on bridging industry requirements with public sector governance.
During the first meeting, committee members deliberated on a phased approach to establishing the university, recognizing the complexity involved in building new institutional infrastructure and developing specialized academic programmes in artificial intelligence.
