Pangasinan college earns CHED institutional recognition in record time

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Pangasinan Polytechnic College (PPC) has secured Institutional Recognition (IR) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), marking a significant milestone in the institution's development. The achievement comes remarkably quickly, within less than three years of the college's founding.

According to PPC President Emeritus Raymundo Rovillos, the IR designation represents "the formal stamp that established PPC as a full-fledged higher education institution." The recognition opens pathways for the college to access government funding and support programs previously unavailable during its provisional operating period.

Institutional Recognition from CHED is a critical accreditation benchmark for Philippine higher education institutions, signifying that the college meets established standards for curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities, and institutional management. The designation enhances PPC's credibility among students, employers, and educational stakeholders across the region.

The approval reflects the college's commitment to academic excellence and institutional development in Pangasinan, strengthening the province's higher education landscape and expanding educational opportunities for local students seeking quality tertiary programs.
