Pangasinan designers showcase maritime heritage through fashion exhibit

LINGAYEN — Pangasinan's rich maritime heritage is taking center stage this month through a curated fashion exhibition featuring works by local designers at the Banaan Museum. The showcase, titled "Masanting: A Tapestry of Pangasinan Identity," opened Tuesday and displays 19 creative costumes that draw inspiration from the province's celebrated sea festivities and coastal character.
The exhibit coincides with the museum's third anniversary celebration, positioning fashion as a medium for exploring and preserving regional cultural identity. Each costume on display represents the creative interpretation of Pangasinan's maritime traditions by skilled local artisans and fashion designers.
