Park Medi World targets 1,450 new beds as it expands north India footprint

Park Medi World, which went public last year, outlined an aggressive expansion strategy in its first annual report since listing, targeting the addition of 1,450 beds to its existing 4,290-bed network by FY28. The move represents a significant boost to the hospital chain's infrastructure as it seeks to strengthen its presence across northern India's most promising healthcare markets.

The expansion will concentrate on building dense regional clusters in Tier 1, 2 and 3 cities and their surrounding areas, rather than pursuing fragmented growth across disparate geographies. This clustering approach allows Park Medi World to enhance operational scalability while maintaining uniform standards in clinical quality and patient care across its network, according to the company's strategic outlook.

As of March 31, 2026, Park Medi World operates a network supported by 1,168 doctors and employs 6,423 staff members. For its acquisition strategy, the company will prioritise hospitals with existing capacity of 200-250 beds that have potential to expand to 300-350 beds, with particular focus on facilities located in state capitals and district headquarters that complement its current geographic footprint.

The expansion aligns with growing demand for organised healthcare across northern India, where the hospital chain aims to optimise operations by leveraging its existing infrastructure and market presence in key regions.
