Parking dispute turns violent in Ghaziabad; one arrested after assault

A parking dispute outside Harsha City Mall in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, turned violent on Thursday when a group of youths allegedly assaulted a young man after he requested them to move their Audi from the roadside. The incident involved Kartik Kharbanda, who approached the vehicle owners to vacate the illegally parked spot on the street.

According to eyewitness accounts, the youths responded with verbal abuse and physical violence when Kharbanda made the request. The confrontation escalated when one of the alleged attackers struck Kharbanda on the head with a stone lying on the road, causing injuries.

The incident was captured on video and subsequently shared on social media platforms, drawing significant public attention. Following the viral circulation of the footage, Ghaziabad police registered a case and launched an investigation into the assault.

Authorities have arrested one suspect in connection with the incident, with investigations ongoing to identify and apprehend additional individuals involved in the attack. The case highlights recurring tensions over parking violations and street management in busy commercial areas across the National Capital Region.
