Zvika Manes, CEO of Bank Leumi's underwriting company, was among passengers aboard a flydubai aircraft when the co-pilot suddenly became disruptive during the flight. Speaking to media outlets, Manes provided details of how he and others on the aircraft responded to the emergency situation that unfolded at altitude.
According to Manes' account, the co-pilot remained conscious and was attempting to communicate throughout the incident, contrary to some initial reports. The passenger noted that he and fellow travellers worked together to physically restrain the crew member using improvised means, including cables from multimedia headphones distributed to passengers during the flight.
