MANILA — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office generated P32.68 billion from its major lottery games in the first half of 2026, marking a year-on-year increase from P31.89 billion in the same period last year, the agency announced Monday.
According to PCSO Corporate Planning Department Manager Anna Liza Inciong, the higher revenue reflects sustained demand for the office's lottery offerings among Filipino players. The growth, though modest, underscores the continued reliance of Filipinos on lottery games as a form of entertainment and wagering.
The PCSO, a government-owned and -controlled corporation, operates major lottery games including the Grand Lotto, Super Lotto, Mega Lotto, and other numbers-based games. Revenues generated from these operations support the agency's charitable programs and medical assistance initiatives.
The first-semester performance positions the PCSO favorably heading into the second half of the year, though the agency did not provide detailed breakdowns of individual game contributions or projections for full-year revenues.
