PDEA nabs two drug suspects, seizes P1.5M cannabis in Rizal operation

LUCENA CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police officers conducted a successful buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal on Saturday, August 22, resulting in the arrest of two suspected drug traffickers and the seizure of a significant quantity of cannabis.

According to a delayed report from PDEA Calabarzon, operatives apprehended suspects identified as "Karl" and "Rhea" during the undercover operation in Barangay San Carlos. The individuals were taken into custody following the controlled drug transaction.

The contraband recovered during the operation was assessed to have a street value of P1.5 million. The case has been referred to appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.

The operation underscores continued anti-narcotics efforts by law enforcement agencies across the Calabarzon region to combat drug trafficking and address the persistent drug problem in the area.
