The UPS Jeevan Setu facility has introduced a simplified mechanism for pensioners to complete their mandatory Life Certificate submissions in the digital format. The system leverages Aadhaar authentication to verify beneficiary identity, eliminating the need for physical document submission at pension disbursing offices or designated verification centers.

Pensioners seeking to avail of this facility can initiate the process by accessing the designated portal and providing their Aadhaar-linked credentials. The Digital Life Certificate, once generated through the authenticated process, serves as proof of existence for pension disbursement authorities and fulfills the annual verification requirement.

This initiative aims to reduce administrative burden on both pensioners and government offices. By enabling remote submission through digital channels, the scheme particularly benefits senior citizens living in remote areas or those with mobility constraints who previously faced challenges in completing in-person verification procedures.

The facility is designed to complement existing pension distribution systems while improving operational efficiency. Eligible pensioners can access detailed instructions and begin their Digital Life Certificate application through the official UPS Jeevan Setu platform, which guides users through each authentication step.
