Perak police are probing claims that a principal allegedly harassed a secondary school student, after the child's mother filed a report with authorities. The principal, who was recently transferred to his current posting, is now the subject of the police investigation.
The complaint centres on alleged inappropriate conduct directed at the Form Three student. The mother came forward to report the matter to police in Ipoh, triggering the official inquiry into the allegations.
The case adds to ongoing concerns about student safety and appropriate conduct by school officials in Malaysian educational institutions. Police have not yet released details about the specific nature of the allegations or the identity of those involved.
Education authorities are expected to be notified as the investigation proceeds. The matter underscores the importance of reporting mechanisms for students and parents to address workplace conduct issues within schools.
