KUALA LUMPUR — Perikatan Nasional (PN) has formally requested the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to furnish comprehensive details regarding the suspension of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, saying it remains uninformed about the nature of eight complaints filed against the party.
The coalition expressed concern over the lack of clarity surrounding the administrative decision and called for full disclosure of the allegations that prompted the regulatory action. PN officials stated that without access to these details, the party and its leadership cannot properly respond to or address the concerns raised by the RoS.
The suspension has drawn scrutiny from opposition lawmakers who argue that the process lacks transparency and due process protections. PN has indicated it may pursue further action should the RoS fail to provide satisfactory explanations and documentary evidence supporting the suspension order.
Bersatu's suspension represents a significant development in Malaysian politics, affecting the broader coalition's parliamentary standing and operational capacity. The matter underscores ongoing tensions between political parties and regulatory bodies over governance and administrative procedures.
