Perikatan Nasional eyes more than four seats in Melaka state election

Perikatan Nasional (PN) is targeting more than four seats in the forthcoming Melaka state election, according to coalition deputy chairman Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man. The exact number of constituencies the opposition pact will contest remains subject to ongoing discussions with Umno, which is also part of the electoral alliance. PN's participation in the Melaka polls represents a significant show of strength for the coalition, which has gained traction in recent months across several Malaysian states. The seat allocation negotiations between PN and Umno are expected to be finalised ahead of nomination day for the state election. Both parties have indicated they are committed to maximising their combined electoral performance in the southern state.
