PH candidate inspired by father's resilience after five electoral defeats

Muhammad Mukhlisul Mubin Julasapiyah, a Pakatan Harapan candidate contesting in Kuala Linggi, has cited his father's political journey as a source of personal inspiration as he embarks on his own electoral campaign.

Despite suffering five electoral defeats, his father maintained consistent dedication to serving the community, a commitment that has shaped the younger Julasapiyah's approach to politics. The candidate noted that his father's perseverance through multiple setbacks demonstrates the importance of steadfast service to constituents, regardless of electoral outcomes.

Julasapiyah's remarks underscore a philosophy that political engagement extends beyond winning contests. By highlighting his father's enduring involvement in community work across multiple unsuccessful campaigns, he has articulated a vision of politics centred on public welfare rather than personal victory.

The candidate's framing of his family's political legacy reflects broader themes within the Pakatan Harapan coalition regarding sustained commitment to democratic participation and grassroots engagement in Malaysian politics.
