PH rules out formal talks with Bersatu on political cooperation
Pakatan Harapan's communications chief has dismissed reports of discussions with Bersatu on a political alliance, though he did not entirely rule out future electoral cooperation between the two coalitions.

Fahmi Fadzil, the Pakatan Harapan communications director, clarified that there are currently no ongoing negotiations between PH and Bersatu regarding formal political cooperation or merger discussions.
His statement comes amid speculation about potential realignment between the two major political blocs in Malaysia's complex political landscape. Fahmi emphasized that PH remains focused on its current direction and coalition commitments.
However, the PH communications chief did not entirely close the door on the possibility of collaboration during electoral contests. He suggested that tactical cooperation on specific electoral matters could be considered, though this would differ significantly from formal political cooperation or structural alignment.
The clarification reflects the shifting dynamics within Malaysian politics, where various coalitions continue to evaluate their strategic positioning ahead of future electoral cycles. Both PH and Bersatu have significant support bases and have previously been part of different governing coalitions.
