Pharma reactor explosion kills two, injures nine in Telangana
A reactor blast at a pharmaceutical facility in Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district claimed two lives and left nine workers injured on Friday night. The explosion triggered a fire at the plant during a shift change, with two workers sustaining critical burns exceeding 50 per cent of their bodies.

The industrial accident occurred late Friday evening at a pharma unit located in Pochampally mandal, according to police officials. The blast ignited a fire within the facility that was subsequently brought under control by the Fire Department.
Nine workers sustained injuries in the incident, with two suffering severe burns covering more than half of their body surface area. The remaining seven workers incurred minor injuries. All injured personnel were transported to various hospitals for treatment, officials confirmed.
Authorities have initiated a formal investigation into the incident. A case has been registered and police are examining the circumstances that led to the reactor failure during the shift transition period. The inquiry will determine whether the blast resulted from mechanical failure, operational error, or other factors.
