PharmEasy founders back home goods startup Chapter at ₹1,000-crore valuation

Chapter Home, a home and kitchen products startup, has raised ₹63 crore in a funding round that values the company at nearly ₹1,000 crore, according to sources familiar with the development. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Stride Ventures, with backing from content creator and entrepreneur Tanmay Bhat.

The company is backed by veterans from PharmEasy, India's online pharmacy platform, signaling the entry of experienced entrepreneurs into the home goods retail space. The funding comes as consumer-focused startups continue to attract investor interest despite a broader pullback in venture capital deployment.

Chapter Home plans to deploy the fresh capital to expand its product portfolio across home and kitchen categories and strengthen its omnichannel distribution network. The company aims to reach consumers through both online and offline channels as it scales operations.

The funding round underscores growing investor confidence in niche e-commerce platforms targeting specific consumer segments. Home and kitchen products represent a significant market opportunity in India, with both established retailers and startups competing for market share.
