Philadelphia 76ers edge New York Knicks in NBA Cup matchup

The Philadelphia 76ers extended their head-to-head record against the New York Knicks with a hard-fought victory in NBA Cup play on Tuesday. The win marks the 76ers' second triumph over their Eastern Conference rivals in the young season, following their opening night success.

Guards James and Maxey proved instrumental in the 76ers' offensive efforts throughout the encounter, combining effectively to pace their team's scoring attack. The pair's performance provided the critical edge needed in what proved to be a tightly contested affair at the professional league level.

The victory underscores Philadelphia's growing momentum as the season progresses, with the team demonstrating its ability to compete consistently against top-tier opposition. The 76ers will look to build on this success as they continue their campaign through the NBA Cup format, which features prominent matchups between the league's leading franchises.

The Knicks, meanwhile, suffered their second setback to the 76ers and will seek to regain their footing in upcoming fixtures. Both teams remain active participants in the competitive eastern bracket of the season-long competition.
