MANILA – Prosecutors called a new witness to testify before the House impeachment panel investigating Vice President Sara Duterte's financial dealings and corporate connections. Rendell Sopeña, Division Chief of the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGeps), appeared before the court on the 28th day of the trial to present official government records.
The witness was summoned to provide documentation regarding procurement transactions involving companies allegedly linked to Duterte.
