MANILA — The Philippine Daily Inquirer received recognition from the Social Security System for its outstanding media partnership in the Metro Manila region, marking the publication's inclusion among seven media organizations honored at the annual awards ceremony.
The award was conferred during the SSS's 2026 Balikat ng Bayan Awards, an annual program designed to recognize media partners that have contributed significantly to the agency's public information and outreach efforts.
Alongside the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Laguna Courier and Negros Now were also recognized among the seven media organizations receiving awards during the ceremony.
The Balikat ng Bayan Awards serve to acknowledge media outlets that have supported the SSS's mission of promoting social security awareness and benefits across the country. The recognition highlights the role of print media in disseminating information about social security programs to Filipinos.
