QUEZON, Bukidnon — The national government plans to dedicate P300 million in the 2027 national budget toward completing the Bukidnon Airport project in Don Carlos, according to Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.

Recto made the announcement during an official visit to the municipality on Friday, signaling renewed momentum for the infrastructure initiative that has faced delays in its development timeline.

The proposed allocation represents a significant step toward advancing the long-awaited aviation facility, which aims to enhance regional connectivity and economic opportunities in Bukidnon province. Officials have characterized the airport as a critical infrastructure project for the Mindanao region.
