MANILA — The low-pressure area (LPA) off the coast of Palawan will continue to bring unsettled weather conditions across much of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.
In its afternoon weather advisory, Pagasa indicated that Southern Luzon, the Visayas region, and Mindanao would experience overcast skies with scattered rains persisting through Friday, September 18. The state weather bureau did not specify rainfall amounts or wind conditions in its initial assessment.
The low-pressure system poses typical threats of localized flooding and rain-induced hazards in low-lying and mountainous areas. Residents in the affected regions were advised to monitor updates from Pagasa as the weather disturbance moves across the archipelago.
