Malacañang announced Thursday that government offices nationwide will implement an early afternoon closure on Monday, September 28, to commemorate the 34th National Family Week. The suspension of work starting at 1 p.m. will apply to all government agencies, instrumentalities, and offices under the executive branch.

The directive aims to provide government employees and their families with the opportunity to participate in Family Week activities and observances. The measure reflects the administration's commitment to promoting family values and strengthening bonds among Filipino families.

The Presidential Communications Office made the formal announcement, noting that the half-day work arrangement is part of the government's effort to support the national celebration. All affected agencies have been instructed to ensure continuity of essential services during the closure period.

Employees are expected to resume regular working hours the following day. The early dismissal applies exclusively to Monday, with normal operations resuming on Tuesday.
