MANILA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has moved to stop unauthorized reclamation work near Laguna de Bay in Taguig City, issuing cease-and-desist orders against the projects on August 20.
DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon said the orders were issued following a directive from the Office of the President through the Philippine Reclamation Authority. The agency is targeting what it characterizes as illegal reclamation projects in the area.
