Philippines weather bureau tracks two systems, one may become typhoon

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Friday it is tracking two active weather systems while a newly formed low-pressure area sits outside the Philippine area of responsibility. As of 2 p.m., the external system was positioned approximately 1,460 kilometers away from the country's territory.
