PhonePe has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to integrate its PulsePro enterprise data intelligence platform into the PM GatiShakti framework. The collaboration aims to harness transaction-derived market signals to support national infrastructure planning, economic analysis, and broader urban and rural development efforts.
PulsePro converts aggregated, anonymised transaction data into actionable market intelligence, enabling organisations to monitor real-world economic activity across different regions and sectors. The platform provides granular, hyperlocal insights that can inform policy and investment decisions at various administrative levels.
Under the agreement, PhonePe PulsePro metrics will be fed directly into the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan portal, which operates under the oversight of the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N). The integration is expected to enhance the government's ability to track economic trends and allocate resources more effectively for infrastructure development.
The partnership reflects growing recognition of fintech platforms' potential to contribute to national planning initiatives through anonymised, aggregated data insights. By providing real-time visibility into economic activity patterns, the collaboration seeks to equip decision-makers with intelligence for evidence-based policy formulation across sectors.
