Phu Quoc emerges as top wellness destination for Indian travellers in 2027

Phu Quoc has secured a place among the top ten trending destinations for Indian travellers planning trips in 2027, capitalising on growing demand for wellness tourism and nature retreats across South Asia.

The island destination appeals particularly to travellers prioritising digital disconnection and slower-paced experiences in natural settings. Industry analysts note that Phu Quoc competes directly with established wellness hubs such as Pokhara in Nepal and Agatti in India's Lakshadweep archipelago, reflecting a broader regional shift toward experiential and restorative travel.

The destination's appeal extends beyond conventional tourism offerings. Phu Quoc has diversified its attractions to include unique experiences such as night golf, catering to visitors seeking distinctive activities combined with natural surroundings and cultural immersion.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for major events scheduled to boost tourism appeal. Symphony of the Sea Season 3, set to launch on November 10, will feature a 3,000 square-metre ocean stage, positioning Phu Quoc as an entertainment and cultural destination alongside its wellness credentials. The convergence of competitive sporting events, large-scale cultural performances, and nature-based experiences underscores the island's expanding role as a premier regional tourism hub.
