Phu Tho Province has outlined plans to expand collaborative efforts with its counterparts in Laos, focusing on institutional exchanges and practical experience-sharing in key areas including Party building and local administration. Officials from the province aim to facilitate regular delegation visits and facilitate dialogue on governance best practices between Vietnamese and Lao officials.
The initiative aligns with high-level engagements between the two nations, including recent talks between Vietnam's National Assembly President and his Lao counterpart. These discussions underscored mutual interest in strengthening institutional cooperation and people-to-people exchanges at both national and provincial levels.
Beyond political coordination, Vietnam has been actively supporting capacity-building for Lao partners through specialized training programs. A recent course organized for officials of the Lao Front organization provided participants with practical knowledge applicable to local socio-economic management and development initiatives.
The expanded cooperation framework encompasses experience exchanges in socio-economic development strategies, reflecting both nations' shared commitment to regional stability and prosperity. Officials from Phu Tho indicated that systematic delegation visits and structured knowledge-transfer programs would form the cornerstone of the deepened partnership with Lao localities.
