Phu Tho province is moving forward with preparations for a major tourism infrastructure development project supported by Asian Development Bank financing. The initiative will span four administrative areas: Ky Son, Tan Hoa, Thong Nhat, and Thung Nai communes and wards.

The project is scheduled to run for six years following the loan agreement's effective date, with implementation planned between 2028 and 2034. Officials in the province are prioritizing groundwork and planning measures to ensure the project launches on schedule.

The development reflects Phu Tho's broader strategy to diversify its economy and attract investment across multiple sectors. Earlier initiatives have included promotion of trade partnerships with international markets and domestic infrastructure projects aimed at improving living standards and economic competitiveness.

The ADB-funded tourism project is expected to enhance visitor facilities and services across the targeted areas, supporting sustainable economic growth in the region. Completion of preparatory phases will be critical to meeting the planned 2028 start date for full project implementation.
