Pilandok to bypass Philippines as southwest monsoon continues

MANILA — Tropical Depression Pilandok will remain outside Philippine territory while the southwest monsoon continues to influence weather patterns across the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said Tuesday.

The state weather bureau's early morning forecast indicated that Luzon and the western portion of Visayas will experience sustained southwest monsoon conditions throughout the day. Residents in affected areas can expect weather impacts associated with the seasonal wind pattern.
