Pilibhit Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh has commenced its latest tourism season, marking the resumption of safari operations following the seasonal closure. Forest Minister Arun Saxena inaugurated the reopening, signaling the start of what officials hope will be a successful year for wildlife tourism in the region.
The reserve has implemented several upgrades ahead of the new season. A digital booking system now allows visitors to reserve safari slots online, streamlining the reservation process. The facility has also expanded its guide services, deploying 15 trained nature guides to enhance visitor experiences and ensure quality interpretation of the reserve's biodiversity.
Improved accommodation infrastructure has been developed to cater to increasing tourist demand. These enhancements reflect efforts to balance wildlife conservation with sustainable tourism development at the reserve.
Filmmakers and other visitors were among those who arrived on the opening day, taking advantage of the new facilities. The reserve, home to several tiger populations, remains a significant destination for wildlife enthusiasts and researchers across India. Officials anticipate the upgraded services will attract more visitors while maintaining conservation standards throughout the season.
