Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide (Piston) is organizing a caravan to honor Elmer Cordero, affectionately known as "Tatay Elmer," who served as one of the transport group's prominent figures. Cordero, a 78-year-old jeepney driver, recently passed away.

The caravan will be held on Wednesday, with Cordero's remains scheduled to arrive at Claret Church in Diliman, Quezon City at 1 p.m. The procession is expected to draw members of the transport workers' organization and supporters from the transport sector.

Cordero's contributions to Piston and the broader transport industry have made him a respected figure within the sector. His death marks the loss of a long-standing advocate for jeepney drivers and transport workers' rights in the Philippines.

The caravan serves as a final tribute to Cordero's decades of service to the transport community and his leadership within Piston, one of the country's most active transport workers' organizations.
