PITX handles 1.38 million passengers during Undas 2026 holiday rush

MANILA — The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) processed 1,385,816 passengers between October 25 and November 1 as Filipinos undertook their annual Undas migrations, according to data compiled through Sunday morning.

The major transportation hub's handling of the substantial passenger volume underscores the significance of Undas travel patterns for the Philippine transport sector. The eight-day period represents one of the year's busiest travel seasons, as families nationwide journey to provincial destinations to commemorate deceased relatives.

PITX, which serves as a consolidated terminal facility for multiple transport operators, facilitated the movement of passengers through various modes of transportation during the holiday period. The terminal's operational capacity proved instrumental in managing the influx of travelers seeking intercity connections.

Operators and terminal management worked to accommodate the heightened demand during the Undas season. The data reflected passenger throughput across the facility's various gates and transport services operating during the peak holiday travel window.
