PITX handles 1.68 million passengers during Undas holiday period

MANILA — The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) processed 1,686,201 passengers throughout the Undas holiday season, terminal officials reported Tuesday.

The figure encompasses traffic flowing through the major transportation facility from October 25 to November 2, representing the sustained surge in travel demand as Filipinos journeyed to provincial destinations during the All Saints' and All Souls' Days observance.

The passenger volume underscores PITX's role as a critical transport nexus for the Metro Manila region, managing the movement of commuters across multiple modes and routes during peak holiday periods.

The terminal continues to accommodate the annual migration patterns associated with Undas, one of the Philippines' most significant travel occasions when millions of Filipinos return to their hometowns to visit family graves and observe the traditional holiday.
