PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh has rejected claims that the party discussed deregistering Perikatan Nasional (PN), demanding an apology from the opposition politician over the allegations.
Fuziah stated that no slides or proposals outlining plans to suspend or deregister PN were ever presented during PKR's national congress. She characterized the claims as baseless and called on Mukhriz Mahathir to retract his statements regarding the matter.
The dispute centres on remarks attributed to Mukhriz suggesting PKR had been plotting to remove PN from the electoral landscape. PKR has firmly denied these assertions, insisting such matters were never tabled for discussion or decision at the party's official proceedings.
The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between opposition coalitions in Malaysian politics, with both sides trading accusations over party management and political strategy. PKR's firm denial and call for an apology underscores the seriousness with which the party is treating the allegations.
