PKR MP warns against attacks on Anwar, party leadership
A ruling coalition lawmaker has cautioned his former colleagues against continued criticism of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, arguing that undermining the party leadership could weaken PKR without strengthening their new political home.

Hassan Karim, a Member of Parliament from the ruling Pakatan Harapan coalition, has urged members of what he describes as a "gang of four" to reconsider their strategy of repeatedly attacking the prime minister and PKR leadership.
In comments directed at his former colleagues, Karim suggested that constant belittling of Anwar Ibrahim risks destabilising PKR but may not necessarily translate into gains for their breakaway political vehicle, Bersama.
The remarks underscore growing tensions within Malaysia's ruling coalition as some former PKR members have pursued a separate political path. Karim's intervention highlights concerns that internal party strife could fragment the opposition vote and weaken overall coalition cohesion ahead of future electoral contests.
The lawmaker's warning reflects broader anxieties among Pakatan Harapan leaders about maintaining party discipline and preventing defections that could undermine the coalition's electoral prospects in peninsular Malaysia's increasingly competitive political landscape.
