PKR ready for solo Melaka campaign if coalition talks stall
The acting Penang PKR chief has signalled the party's readiness to contest the Melaka state election independently, noting that the absence of formal negotiations with Barisan Nasional has not hampered their campaign preparations.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) is prepared to fight the upcoming Melaka state election on its own if coalition negotiations with Barisan Nasional (BN) do not materialise, according to Adam Adli, acting chief of PKR Penang.
Adli stated that while the coalition has not engaged in formal talks with BN regarding a potential electoral alliance, this lack of dialogue has not impeded PH's readiness for the contest. The party has proceeded with its campaign infrastructure and candidate selection process, positioning itself for either a joint or independent campaign.
The position reflects PH's determination to remain competitive in the Melaka state election regardless of the outcome of coalition negotiations. Several state-level elections in Malaysia have seen shifting alliances in recent years, and political parties have adapted by maintaining parallel preparation strategies.
