PKR Youth Chief Accuses Umno Counterpart of Sidestepping TH Governance Issues

Danish Hairudin, the information chief of PKR Youth, has publicly rebuked Dr Akmal Saleh, the head of Umno Youth, for what he characterizes as an attempt to avoid addressing concerns raised in the Tabung Haji (TH) RCI findings. The PKR youth leader's remarks suggest frustration with what he views as a reluctance from the Umno Youth wing to engage substantively with the RCI's revelations regarding TH's management and financial performance. Danish accused his counterpart of redirecting attention away from these accountability matters.

The Tabung Haji Royal Commission of Inquiry was established to investigate governance practices and investment decisions at the Islamic pilgrimage fund.
