PM Anwar acknowledges Tuju complaints, calls for user patience

AMPANG — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim acknowledged growing complaints about the Tuju local navigation app on Wednesday, appealing to users for patience as the government addresses technical issues affecting the platform.

Anwar's comments came as feedback from Malaysian users has highlighted various performance concerns with the domestically-developed navigation application, which was launched to reduce reliance on foreign GPS services.

The Prime Minister's remarks signal government awareness of user dissatisfaction while emphasising that refinements are underway to enhance the app's functionality and reliability. Officials have not disclosed a specific timeline for when improvements will be fully implemented.

Tuju was introduced as part of efforts to develop Malaysia's homegrown technology solutions and reduce dependence on international navigation systems. The app's rollout follows broader initiatives to strengthen the nation's digital infrastructure and technological self-sufficiency.
