In his Dussehra message, the Prime Minister stressed the imperative for Indians to remain vigilant against forces seeking to create divisions within the country's social fabric. Drawing parallels with the festival's symbolism of righteousness prevailing over malice, he called for a unified national stance against such attempts.
The remarks underscore the government's continued focus on national cohesion and security concerns. Dussehra, celebrated across India to commemorate the victory of good over evil in Hindu mythology, provides an occasion for such appeals to national consciousness and collective action.
The Prime Minister's message aligns with broader governmental messaging around national unity and addressing what officials describe as external threats. Such statements during major festivals are customary, often used to reinforce themes of national pride and vigilance against divisive elements.
