PM Mementos E-auction Returns with 50 Heritage Objects

The government is preparing to launch the eighth round of its e-auction platform dedicated to Prime Minister mementos, bringing fresh items from the official collection to the public. The auction, scheduled to begin on September 17, will showcase 50 objects specifically identified as 'Hero Objects' for their historical and cultural significance.

The curated selection represents some of the most distinctive pieces housed in the Prime Minister's official collection, underscoring the government's effort to preserve and share India's institutional heritage. These objects span various categories and periods, offering collectors and historians the opportunity to acquire items of national importance.

The e-auction platform has proven successful in its previous iterations, demonstrating sustained public interest in Prime Minister-related memorabilia. Across seven editions conducted to date, the initiative has raised ₹52 crore, with proceeds supporting various institutional and cultural objectives.

The digital auction format has enabled wider participation beyond traditional collectors, allowing individuals across India to engage with these historical artifacts. Each edition introduces carefully selected items that reflect significant moments and contributions associated with Prime Minister's tenure.
