PM Modi to inaugurate key projects in Varanasi and Bhubaneswar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Varanasi on Sunday to witness the Indian Air Force Day aerial display, marking a significant show of the nation's defence prowess. During the Uttar Pradesh leg of his visit, he will also inaugurate a new garment manufacturing facility by Arvind Limited, a major step in bolstering India's textile and apparel sector.

The Arvind Limited facility in Varanasi is designed with modern manufacturing practices at its core, and is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities, particularly for women workers. The project underscores Uttar Pradesh's emerging position as a hub for industrial investment and manufacturing-led economic growth. Officials noted that products manufactured at the facility will serve a global customer base, demonstrating how regional manufacturing can contribute to India's export capabilities.

Following his Varanasi engagement, the Prime Minister will travel to Bhubaneswar, Odisha, where he will inaugurate a Reserve Bank of India data centre and a cyber security training institute. These projects reflect the government's focus on strengthening India's digital infrastructure and developing skilled workforce capabilities in emerging technological domains.
