PM Modi to Release 24th Installment of Farm Support Scheme Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today, marking another round of direct income support to India's agricultural sector. The transfer of ₹2,000 per eligible farmer will be initiated at approximately 10:30 AM from Banaskantha district in Gujarat, signaling the continuation of the government's commitment to rural welfare.

This installment will extend financial assistance to more than 9.34 crore farming families across the country, representing a total outlay exceeding ₹18,680 crore. The PM-KISAN scheme, launched in February 2019, provides regular direct income support to small and marginal farmers as a measure to augment their income and address their livelihood needs.

The scheme has established itself as a significant component of the government's agricultural support infrastructure, delivering regular tranches of assistance to enrolled beneficiaries. Today's disbursement continues the established quarterly payment schedule, ensuring consistent cash flow to farming communities throughout the country. Eligible farmers can verify their status and account details through the official PM-KISAN portal to confirm receipt of the transfer.
