PM urges Petronas, Petros to expedite commercial agreement

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has urged Petronas and Petros to adopt a unified approach in pursuing their commercial partnership, stressing that coordinated efforts between the two national oil entities are essential for broader national development.

Anwar highlighted the importance of expediting negotiations and finalising the commercial agreement between Petronas, Malaysia's state-owned petroleum corporation, and Petros, Petronas's subsidiary focused on upstream oil and gas operations. The call comes as Malaysia seeks to maximise returns from its hydrocarbon resources while maintaining operational efficiency across its petroleum industry.
