PN Government Saves 76,000 Hectares of State Plantations, Claims MP
A PAS parliamentarian has credited the government's decision to halt major asset disposals with preserving state-owned plantation land that has since generated six consecutive years of profit.

Ahmad Marzuk Shaary, a PAS Member of Parliament, said the Perikatan Nasional administration's move to cease large-scale liquidation of state plantation holdings allowed the sector to retain critical agricultural assets.
According to the MP, the decision to maintain ownership of approximately 76,000 hectares of plantation land proved financially prudent, with the holdings generating consistent returns over a six-year period.
The assertion highlights the government's approach to managing state-owned enterprises, with proponents arguing that retention of key productive assets serves broader economic interests. The plantation sector remains a significant contributor to Malaysia's agricultural output and export earnings.
