Among the notable contests shaping up, PAS will field a challenger against incumbent assemblyman Adly Zahari in the Bukit Katil constituency. Separately, Gerakan has chosen to contest the Ayer Keroh seat, where it will face off against the opposition Democratic Action Party (DAP).
