PN suspension will not hamper Melaka election preparations, says Wawasan

A political observer has pushed back against speculation of hidden forces at work following Perikatan Nasional's suspension, saying the move will not derail the coalition's machinery or preparations for the forthcoming Melaka state election.

Wawasan stated that despite the suspension, component parties within the coalition maintain their organisational capacity and readiness ahead of the poll. The suspension, announced ahead of the state election schedule, has drawn questions about potential external manipulation of the political landscape.

The analyst rejected suggestions of an unseen hand orchestrating events, emphasising that the coalition's electoral machinery and campaign preparations remain intact. Component parties have continued their ground-level activities and voter engagement efforts despite the leadership-level suspension.

The remarks come as political parties in Melaka gear up for state-level contests, with various coalitions preparing their candidates and campaign strategies. The suspension of Perikatan Nasional, while notable at the federal level, has not disrupted the operational capacity of its member parties at the state level, according to Wawasan's assessment.
