Pointillist artwork of Hindu deities to feature in revamped Tirumala museum

A skilled artisan working with the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams (TTD) has completed an ambitious pointillist artwork project that will become a centerpiece of the shrine's upgraded museum facilities. Ginne Venkateswarlu, associated with the TTD's traditional sculpture institute, dedicated several months of after-hours work to create the pair of paintings using 12 distinct colors of marker pen on canvas.

The meticulous pointillist technique, which builds images through the application of small colored dots or marks, requires considerable patience and precision. Venkateswarlu's dedication to the project reflects the intricate nature of the work and the significance of depicting the principal deities of the Tirumala temple through this refined artistic medium.

The completed paintings are set to be prominently featured in the museum's newly redeveloped space, which spans more than 1.2 lakh square feet. The expansion and renovation of the museum facility represents a significant investment by the TTD to enhance visitor experience and showcase religious and cultural artifacts related to the ancient shrine.

The artwork is expected to provide visitors with a contemporary artistic interpretation of the revered deities while maintaining traditional spiritual iconography.
